Aspen's First Day Of School

Okay, I know it has been a while but, I will try and post every few days until I get caught back up. You must be patient I still have dial up It is very frustrating uploading pics.
This was the first morning when we brought her to class
The first morning outside the building. I worked long hours to making her school clothes and of course the thing she picked out for the first day wasn't finished. But Nana stayed up until it was done. I had to bring it with me that morning. Wasn't she just to cute with her little purse lunch kit.She loves school and is doing very well.

I will post her Birthday party in a few days.

New pics of Cameron

The girls joined the Paw Pak at school. They get to run out on the field before every Football game and do one cheer with the Big cheer leaders. This is both girls with their friend Lauren, she was also there swimming teacher.

Cameron has became a Nana's girl since Aspen started school. She makes sure she gets her quality time. We made a Halloween spook house. She wanted everyone to hurry and see it so she could eat all the candy off. I think she may have inherited her Nana's creativity.

Jada and Cameron have became big buds. Cameron will chase Jada for a while, then Jada will chase Cameron for a while. This is what happens when they get to tired to run anymore. Looks fun to me.

Cameron and Aspen went to their first sleep over Birthday party last Saturday. It didn't work out so well for Cameron. She was running in the yard and tripped over a dog. Now she has a Beautiful blue and pink cast.

This was the day after. We took her to the emergency room that night and they put it in this splint. It was fiberglass on the bottom half and then wrapped in ace bandage. She didn't like it very much. Yesterday we took her to Houston to the Orthopedic Doctor that took care of Keith's foot. There is a fracture at the elbow. She will be in her blue and pink cast for 3 weeks then we will go back to see how it is healing. The cast doesn't' seem to be as uncomfortable as the splint was. Not to mention she got to design the cool colors herself. Keep her in your prayers that it will heal okay.
I'm not sure where this space came from and I can't make it go away. Sorry

IKE HAS LEFT HIS MARK ON SOUTHEAST TEXAS

No one in Southeast Texas was untouched by Ike. Thank heavens mostly by inconvenience to us. We got lights and phones today. 50 percent of Jasper is up. This is one time I was glad to be first. We lost one tree and a LOT of limbs as you can see from the pics. I could fill up several dump trucks with all that is laying in the yard. I won't lack for something to do for a while.

Galveston was not as lucky, I heard the water surge there was 22 feet. We haven't had tv, so I don't know that for sure but looking at the damage it's believable. I think it was 14 feet in Winnie. The farmers and ranchers were wiped out. There are dead cattle in the thousands, and more still stranded that might not survive. Bridge city was hit hard also. The news reported today school will not start there for a month

Would you believe with winds here at 70 miles per hour we still have luv bugs. It should have blown them to the other side of the world. Here everyone is with no electricity and having to cook outside and the luv bugs are worse than they have been in years.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO KEPT US IN THEIR PRAYERS!!!!!

Some pics of the mess in my yard. The trees are getting really aero dynamic .

HURRICANE IKE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, we are about to be slammed by yet another hurricane. It is expected to make land fall in the early hours of the morning Saturday in Galveston. We are going to have winds in excess of 90 miles per hour and a storm surge of 14 feet. That's if it doesn't intensify and it probably will. The storm surge won't impact us here in Kirbyville but the winds surely will with the 20 oak trees surrounding our house. We are going to ride it out with friends that live close but have no trees. We probably won't have electricity for a while, I will try to let everyone know what is happening after we get the generator up and going. Keep us in your prayers.
