JUST EVERYDAY STUFF

How long has it been since you have seen Shannon? Toni took this yesterday, I think he had been in the sun a little to much. Can you believe he will be 24 in a few weeks?Cameron with her first fish. I'm sure glad she didn't want to eat it. Mud cat aren't very tasty.

When I quit doing nails we brought all my things home and put them in the spare room. The girls think it is there own little built in salon.

The girls and kittens came for a visit

The girls came to stay the night and bring me my kitten. I am getting the siemise one. He still dosen't have a name. Aspen has decided to keep the runt, she is really tiny, she named her Cally.
I'm glad to be getting him while Jada is still a puppy. They are doing very well toghther.

Poor Molly, she is a mother and guardian to every baby we bring in.

QUEEN FOR A DAY

All the girls that won the Magnolia Pageant rode in the parade Saturday. The theme was MardiaGras In The Park.

Aspen had a BLAST sitting in the sunroof throwing candy.

We had to wait till noon for the girls to be announced at the pavilion so, Aspen had some time for carnival fun.

Along with teaching Graydon how to post a comment last night, I reminded him I had no pic of Lacey. This was taken last year at prom. Yes, before you ask, she is almost as tall as him, and don't they look alike? Lacey is much more Beautiful, of courseAspen's first fish!!!! Keith took her in our pond last weekend. She fished with pieces of sausage. (You can always eat the bait if no fish bite) Keith had to skin the little thing. She can't wait to eat it. There were two pieces about the thickness of a potato chip. We may have to wait till she catches some more if she wants to get full. LOL I don't have a clue why it put this picture twice?????Kim, you asked about Mom when we talked so I had her send me a pic. She is retired now, but I don't think she would call it the life of leisure. She stays pretty busy.

The humming birds are back in full force. They are just so beautiful and dainty, and mean. I have three feeders set up and they fight like crazy.

BEAUTIFUL WEATHER FOR A BUSY WEEKEND

Our weather this weekend was wonderful. Saturday we went to Toni's. Keith is building fence for them. He fenced the back before hunting season started so they could get cows, now he is doing the front. Jared , his youngest son came to help. I brought Jada for the girls to play with, we grilled and enjoyed the spring weather. Sunday keith went to Jasper to work in the hunting club. I went to Wal-mart for plants, the girls wanted to plant a garden. We spent the day playing and planting(not sure there was a difference for them)



Aspen and Jada played chase until they were wore out.


Finally, a long overdue nap, I don't think I have ever played that long without resting.

Do you really think this thing needs cleaned before we cook on it? It's only been in storage for 6
months.

I JUST COULD NOT RESIST

I have a drawer full of old photos. Today Aspen and I were looking through them and look at the treasure I found. Do you see anyone you recognize? You will have to click on the photo to enlarge it. Easier for me to do them in a collage than try to up load them all. Some of the photos were dated 1977-78. I am pretty sure all of them were from that time.

Both the girls were in the Miss Magnolia Pageant in Kirbyville today.

They really like getting to wear MAKE-UP, and dressing up in BEAUTIFUL clothes. It's a lot of work on me. By the time I fix their hair, do make-up and get them dressed I am wore out. But, it is all worth it at the end of the day just to see their beautiful smiling faces.

UNWANTED GUEST-LOOKING FOR A FREE MEAL

This is my goldfish pond in the front yard. It is very enjoyable this time of year. We sit on the swing and listen to the water and watch hummingbirds. But along with spring, come SNAKES. I have never been afraid of them but, I get pretty upset when they set their sites in my koi for supper.

This is a biological filter I built to keep the water crystal clear. It has a 3" water space at the bottom, then a layer of lava rock. The top layer is pea gravel. The water circulates from the pond to the white PVC pipe in the middle, and filters up through the rock down the waterfall and back in the pond. This is where my guest was patiently scoping out his supper.

But I found him first.

Spring Break Vacation
