THE BIG 3

Cameron turned 3 July 26th. She was excited about her party, she had FRIENDS coming to play. Both the girls are a little spoiled to Nana making cakes. They just look through my cake books and pick out the one they want. For some reason they keep getting bigger each year. The pic doesn't do justice to the size. The bottom layer was 15" diameter and 5 " thick.

Her present from Mom & Dad and Nana & Paw-paw. She is a one month old Mini horse, she named her Callie Horsey. She weights about 45 pounds. I had to pick her up to put her in and out of the trailer when we brought her home.

There were lots of friends to help celebrate

LACEY'S BIG DAY

Sorry, I haven't updated in a while. Summer gets busy for everyone. I am having to do 3 seperate post. Dialup times out if I try to post more than 4 pics at a time.

Lacey, Graydon's oldest got married Fridat night. Mr. & Mrs. Ramsey Davis

What better time to take a few family photos. It's not very often we get dresses up.

SWIMMING LESSONS

Aspen and Cameron each took private swimming lessons this summer. Keith and I went and watched them on the last day. We were really impressed. They can both go of the diving board. Aspen swims all over the pool by herself, Cameron still has to use floates in the deep end.

Toni and I went to get some plants for her yard. The people raise and show mini's. The girls fell in love. This baby was 4 month old, the lady has already trained her to do tricks.

Toni came over and rode Angel for me. She hasn't rode in 4 years, Angel hasn't been rode in quite a while either were both a little bit rusty. This was after the short rodeo. The horse fared much better than rider. Angel had some pretty bad spur marks from Toni trying to stay on. The inside of Toni's legs were bruised pretty bad. You should see the girls imitate Angel bucking their mom off.

WHAT AN ADVENTURE

The fishing has been kinda iffy this year. We went from below normal temps, to above normal. Noodle fishing is best at the temp. in between. But night time seems to be just right. Keith had heard they were biting good at night so him and his cousin wanted to try, what a adventure it turned out to be. They were biting, but the wind was also blowing really bad. Waves were washing over the front of the boat, they were both soaking wet. The wind was blowing the noodles out of sight, and the May flies in. He said they were 4" to 6" deep all over the boat, and you could hardly see. When the waves washed in the boat they turned to mush and stopped up the drain. Then there were some kinda fish jumping out of the water, they would jump all the way across the boat. They were having to dodge them. Would you believe they had a blast. Planning another trip this weekend.
The limit is 25 fish per person. They stayed until they had their limit. I don't think they were thinking about how long it would take to clean them. There were exactly 150lbs. We had 9 gallon zip lock bags of fillets.

BEFORE AND AFTER

Toni decided she wanted to start landscaping. Well, she wanted her yard landscaped anyway. Not that she wanted to do the work. But, she did help, and the girls did too.I planed the layout, picked out most of the plants, dug ALL the holes and put down all the border rocks. She mudded in the plants and helped with the mulch. It turned out really beautiful. Not bad for my first landscape job!!!! Now if we could just get grass. The back yard has grass, but the front is still pretty bare. We have talked about putting down sod after we finish the walk ways. We'll see.

SNOW ANGEL'S .........DIRT ANGELS

Those of you in the North may call them snow Angel's, but in the South I think they are dirt Angel's.

Poor Cameron, we went plant shopping in the heat of the day. I think it was more than she could handle. She fell asleep on the way home. She was just to cute to not take a picture.

Almost supper!!!!!!!

Keith was brush hogging this weekend when he ran across a snake. At first he didn't see the baby cotton tail he was after. Being the good guy he is, he saved her. She rode in his shirt pocket for about 1 1/2 hours while he finished mowing. Between the snake and the rough ride I think she was in shock. She would not eat very good for the first three days, I really didn't think she was going to make, but all is well. She eats like a little pig now. The girls named her Miss Piggy.
