SNOW ANGEL'S .........DIRT ANGELS

Those of you in the North may call them snow Angel's, but in the South I think they are dirt Angel's.

Poor Cameron, we went plant shopping in the heat of the day. I think it was more than she could handle. She fell asleep on the way home. She was just to cute to not take a picture.

Almost supper!!!!!!!

Keith was brush hogging this weekend when he ran across a snake. At first he didn't see the baby cotton tail he was after. Being the good guy he is, he saved her. She rode in his shirt pocket for about 1 1/2 hours while he finished mowing. Between the snake and the rough ride I think she was in shock. She would not eat very good for the first three days, I really didn't think she was going to make, but all is well. She eats like a little pig now. The girls named her Miss Piggy.

Great pix, Lynn. I love the dirt angels, the sleeping bandaid girl(one of the kids had to identify that as a bandaid for me), and all those animals cuddled into one picture. They sure seem to have happy little lives. In case you haven't checked Mary's Postings,we have a wild rabbit that's been coming into our yard and is becoming very brave. Rebekah has nearly touched it a few times. Sure would be cool to have a pet like that - if we could tame it. Of course when I find it eating things we've planted, I probably won't be so welcoming.

Anyway, sure enjoyed seeing a bit of your life today. Love, Jackie

Aspen said she wanted to make snow angels, I had a hard time convincing her we call them dirt angels. Cameron is at the age she needs a band aid on everything. Arnie's truck was parked around front where we were working. The tailgate was down and she ran into the corner of it. She had a pretty good goose egg on her check. The next day before we went plant shopping she wanted a band aid. It wasn't good that night when Toni took it off. The tape had blistered her face. That fair skin is very sensitive. We always have some kind of critter around here. Last summer it was three baby squirrels. Tell Rebekah don't give up. It may never let her hold it, but they will get used to her being around and tolerate her presence with out running off.

Okay, when you do get to come, you're gonna have to bring those grandbabies and let them make some real snow angels. March would be a good time because we have more day light, usually milder temps, and the plane tickets are cheaper than summer.

Yep,those booboos are big deal stuff and so frequent at that age...Mary took her first tumble off the swing set today...scratches in all kinds of places.

Talk about critters...one we couldn't identify came into our yard today while we were sitting outside...we followed it as it went in and out of the shed and under the car. After sneaking up and getting a good look, I went inside and looked it up on the internet...learned that it's in the marmot family, common name woodchuck. Ha! Been saying that woodchuck tongue twister all my life, but never thought I'd have one in my yard :)

I have to say, even after living inthe South all my life, those are the first dirt angels I've ever seen! Cute ones, though! :)

It's so great that the baby rabbit is responding to your care. So often they just don't thrive after being rescued. I remember finding some out in the field behind our house...they didn't fair so well. Of course , you and Keith are probably much better parents than we were as kids. :)

I turned the bunny loose last night. I had her weaned and eating rabbit food and grass on her own. She seamed really unhappy in a cage, just pacing wanting out. She is big enough now to run from snakes, hopefully she will be okay.
